Rentals
We have rentals for players who are interested. Browse our available rentals here.

All rentals will have a maximum prepayment of 4 weeks rent. If this is a problem (such as you are going on a 6-week holiday) please contact the rental manager to arrange alternate payment. This limit is designed to ensure that the rentals are tenanted by players on the sim, rather than people who just paid up 6 months in advance and then went to play somewhere else.
Although there are businesses around the sim we are disinclined to associate these businesses with one player owner. We have found that when businesses are owned / rented by players, the business will fall empty when the renter is not on sim. We all have RL that makes demands on us and so we would prefer businesses to be active.

Rather we would encourage you to RP that you have met with the NPC owner and have been employed to work in the business. For continuity purposes there will be NCs with IC NPC information regarding the businesses. Please feel free to use any and all of the businesses on sim for your RP, but we would ask that you respect the lore associated with the location.

We are however thrilled for you to call for RP so please use the Telacia IC Group to advertise your availability for business. This can be as simple as a hook post (/me throws open the doors of the Port Jaul Tavern and lets the stench of last night’s stale beer waft out on the morning breeze) or you could advertise (Hear ye, hear ye! The Dwarven Blacksmith Gunter is in the Great Forge of Kher Ravn! All those seeking quality armour and weaponry should make the trip!).

Please be aware that there are no decorated business rentals on the sim, and so all areas of the sim are available for use by all players. This means that there is no ownership of certain areas and so no group can claim that they operate out of the Tavern (for example). Of course, you are welcome to hang out at the Tavern, or have the majority of your group work there, but we will look very harshly at groups that “move in” to a location on the sim and claim it as their own to the exclusion of others.

If you want to have private meetings out of hearing of anyone else, we encourage you to find a place on sim, and then have your meeting ICly in your group chat. This will avoid anyone overhearing.

On the other hand, if you want to rent one of the properties on the sim and run your business or player group out of that rental then obviously that is fine. In fact we would prefer that the rentals be used by groups rather than singular individuals, but we are not going to tell you what to do in your own rental.
Rental properties are available on a first come, first served basis. We do not have a waiting list. We do not reserve properties.

If you have rezzed over your allotted LI, some of your things will be returned. After 3 days of payment being overdue a person will be ejected from the property and their things returned. Please don’t rez things outside your property. They will be returned.

Please respect the privacy of the properties on sim. Avoid going into private homes. Leave when requested. Don’t be an ass.

There are three size of properties available on the sim:
-
Small Town Houses 90L per week with 30 prim allowance
-
Medium Manses 150L per week with 50 prim allowance
-
Large Mansions 300L per week with 100 prim allowance

Although there are no designated business rentals, we encourage those of you renting a medium or large property to consider utilising the extra prims for player groups. Although we are not going to monitor who rents what and where, we would prefer if your rental was in the area that makes IC sense for your character. A halfling renting a temple in Kher Ravn doesn’t make a lot of sense, but as I said, we are not going to evict you for it.
