Kher Ravn
Kher Ravn is the dwarven city under the mountain. It is the pride of the Kvitravn (or White Raven clan in the common tongue). It has recently been reclaimed from a dragon who's skull now adorns the great forge. Included on this page is information that might be known by a native mountain dweller. You can of course play a character that is unaware of some of the aspects of Kher Ravn, or has been fed misinformation, but that is up to you to decide based on how you want to write your character.
Geo-Politics
For all intents and purposes the roles listed below do not actual exist as player roles or faction leads. They are designed so that during your roleplay you understand the structure of the city under the mountain. Many of these roles exist as NPCs and will never be allocated to players on the sim.

This, as with all of the lore associated with the sim, was written by and for the sim owners to deepen their roleplay. If you choose to ignore this lore but still use the sim, we don’t mind but we would probably act confused, or consider you addled, if we interacted with you.

Kher Ravn is ruled by Brom Skallsgard who is King under the Mountain. He rules with absolute authority and will pass the crown down to his decendants in his direct line.

Although dwarves are by far the most prolific of those who live in Kher Ravn, there are also smaller numbers of others who like the dark close places of the earth: gnomes and goblins are also found in the mines, but all who live there come under the governance of King Brom Skallsgard.

History of Kher Ravn
Kher Ravn was built 200 odd years ago, but is considered the youngest dwarven stronghold in the empire. Years ago it was a bustling, although small dwarven city, not nearly as big a Kher Dor or Kher Onath. The mines are rich with Arcanite and precious metals. But that was before it was lost to the dragon Mymidon the Red.

Driven out of their home by the Red Dragon, the White Raven clan migrated to the south in the Night's Row and, for many years, decided to forget the shame of their exhile and instead threw themselves in the defense of the kingdom.

It was a younger Brom Skallsgard that decided to act against the wish of his father to leave the Night's Row to reconquer the heart and hearth of his people. He set out with his Brother Nudin and sister Astrid to form an adventuring party that would dedicate their lives to retaking their home.

Along the way they made allies with an older warrior called Sven the Calm who later became chief of guards at the Gatehouse and Talian Dhane a sorcerer from the Arcanum Academy both from Port Jaul. The group, alongside a handful of dwarves from the clan, took the fight to the dragon and after long gruelling battle the city was reconquered. Since then, the White Ravn Clan came back to the hold of Kher Ravn to reignite the forge.
King Brom Skallsgard has since rekindled the familial bonds with his father Gorn who still remains in the south and those in Kher Ravn toil to help strengthen those borders using the forge to make weapons for those of the clan that stayed with Gorn.

The fall of the trading city of Kad'Bazar has sent King Brom into a search for adventurers to discover the truth.
